Anthony Poole

Ant completed his PhD in 2002 at Massey University under the supervision of David Penny. He is recipient of a Swedish Research Council Assistant Professorship and Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences Research Fellowship, and is currently a Royal Society of New Zealand Rutherford Discovery Fellow. Ant's research focuses on the early evolution of life, spanning the late stages of the RNA world through to the origin of the eukaryote cell. Current work in his lab focuses on coupling experimental evolution with origins research.
