Nicholas M Wade
I am a functional molecular biologist and biochemist with a focus on improving aquaculture production and nutrition. My current research focuses on the establishment of industrial scale phenotypic challenges within prawn selective breeding programs, and the functional molecular responses to nutrition and feeding, known as nutrigenomics. I also lead projects on the mechanisms that regulate pigment deposition in prawns, and I have strong interests in the use of genomic tools to understand mechanisms that control commercially relevant traits in aquaculture.
